Bio (age) by Brendon Urie

Brendon Urie was born on the 12th of April 1987 in St. George, Utah. When he was two years old, his family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. Thanks to his mother, he is about a quarter of Hawaiian descent. His maternal grandmother was from Hawaii, Portugal and England. His parents, Boyd and Grace Urie, are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, informally referred to as the LDS Church or Mormon Church. He was raised as an LDS member, but left the faith at the age of 17 because he was dissatisfied with the church and did not believe in its ideology.

Urie met future panic! Bassist Brent Wilson while attending Palo Verde High School in Las Vegas as they were both in the same guitar class. Brendon was asked by Wilson to try out for a band he (Wilson) was in because they needed a backup guitarist. After trying out, he became a member of the band and played bass guitar.

Brendon worked at the Tropical Smoothie Café, and could make money to pay for the space his band used to practice. While working in the café, Urie often sang for customers and got good tips in the process. He usually sang whatever song he was listening to, but took requests as it gave him much better advice.

He became the lead singer of Panic! at the disco after trying out for the lead guitarist. Before coming on board, Ryan Ross was the lead singer. Impressed by his vocal abilities, the band decided to have Brendon lead singer. They released 6 studio albums with Brendon Urie as lead singer. Her first album, A Fever You Can’t Miss was released in 2005, with the single “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” selling the album to 1.8 million.

Her second album, Pretty. Odd. Was released in 2008 and Brendon wrote two of the tracks himself; He was also the one who wrote the song “New Perspective” for the film’s soundtrack Jennifer’s Body . The band’s third album was titled Vices & Virtues on the 22nd of March 2011. It was released after the departure of Ryan Ross and Jon Walker.

The fourth album, Too Strange To Live Too Rare To Die! was released on the 8th of October 2013. On the Billboard 200 , the album debuted at number 2. In 2014, Brendon Urie won the Alternative Press Music Award for Best Vocalist. In 2015, founding drummer Spencer Smith and bassist Dallon Weeks departed, leaving Urie as the sole member of the band’s official line-up.

2016 is the band’s fifth album, Death of a Bachelor , was released. This album gave the band their best selling week and first album ever. On March 21, 2018, the band released two new songs. Say Amen (Saturday Night) and (F**k A) Silver Lining . The band also announced a new album called Pray for the Wicked . In September 2018, Brendon Urie sacked guitarist Kenneth Harris over allegations against Harris communicating with fans via Snapchat, asking for selfies and nudes.
