According to Page Six’s sources, Britney Spears‘ attorneys are in continuous settlement talks with her father, Jamie Spears, and her former management company regarding the legal challenges involving Britney’s 13-year conservatorship.

According to our sources, the settlement talks between the two sides first started roughly three months ago and were revived just last month because of the pop star’s recent huge triumphs.

Page Six has learned exclusively that Britney and Jamie have resumed settlement talks after a judge ruled in Britney’s favor in July, allowing her to force her father to sit for testimony and rejecting Jamie’s plea to force the Stronger singer to sit for her deposition.

In the event of a legal dispute, it is customary for the parties involved to engage in settlement discussions.

TMZ said on Friday that Britney’s lawyer Mathew Rosengart had settled for $7 million from Jamie, 70, and Tri Star Sports & Entertainment Group to end their legal disputes, but we’ve been assured that’s not the case. The sum we were given was not specific from our source.

However, this number is quite close to what Jamie had supposedly made during his time as his daughter’s conservator, which was estimated to be over $7 million.

The New York Times reported in December 2021 that Britney’s father had received an estimated $6 million over 13 years from Tri-Star, while the label had also gotten 5 percent of the Toxic singer’s adjusted gross entertainment revenue.

It was also claimed in the paper that Jamie borrowed $40,000 from Tri Star founder Lou Taylor in the days leading up to Britney’s conservatorship in 2008. When Britney’s father asked for $2 million to step down as conservator, she accused him of trying to extort her in August.

After Grammy winner Britney gave Jamie explosive testimony in September 2021, he was officially suspended as a conservator. Thereafter, in November 2021, the guardianship was officially dissolved. Rosengart has been promising his client justice since the conservatorship was lifted.
