Justin Bieber tipping his shades

Justin Bieber is currently one of the biggest pop stars in the world. Beginning his career as a cute and clean cut kid, he has definitely managed to reinvent himself as a bad boy and a force to be reckoned with. Over the last few years, he’s transformed for everyone to see, and he’s ready to show and prove that he’s much more than just a teeny bobber. Let’s face it, whether you like or dislike him, it’s getting harder and harder to ignore the fact that he’s just about everywhere these days. But of course, as with any other star, Bieber’s rise to the top hasn’t been solo. As a result of Bieber’s success, there a few other people who have also gotten to experience the glow of the spotlight. Whether they want to admit it or not, these people probably have Justin Bieber to thank for a large part of their popularity. Here are a few people who owe their success to Justin Bieber.

Maejor Ali

Maejor Ali probably isn’t a name that you’re familiar with, but he’s been working behind the scenes for quite some time. Once using the name Bei Meajor, this guy has worked with some of the biggest artists in the game and has written and produced songs for people like Trey Songz, Wiz Khalifa, and yup, you guessed it, Justin Bieber. While he’s found great success using his talents to help others, his solo efforts as an artist haven’t always been a success. However, over the years, it seems like Maejor Ali and The Biebs have formed a pretty solid friendship, and the two even released a song together in 2013. As long as he continues to keep getting co-signed by Justin Bieber, there’s no telling how far Maejor’s career as an artist can go.After all, if there’s one thing Justin Bieber does have a lot if, it’s star power.

Carly Rae Jepsen

There’s no doubt that Carly Rae Jepsen is certainly a talented young artist, and while much of her success is due to her hard work, there’s no way around the fact that Justin Bieber has had a lot to do with it. Back in 2012, when Jepsen released her breakout single, “Call Me Maybe,” Bieber and several of his famous friends got together to record a funny lip syncing video  which they think uploaded to Instagram. The video was a huge success, and helped to make the song even more popular. Well, just a few months ago, Bieber did it again when he teamed up with some most of his famous friends to create a video for Jepsen’s, “I Really Like You.” According to Billboard’s website, Bieber’s video helped the song get even more attention, and resulted in the tune cracking the top 40. For all those people who are still arguing that the Internet isn’t this important, this just goes to show how having a strong Internet presence really goes pay off.

Lil Twist

6th Annual Roots Jam Session

Texas-based rapper, Lil Twist was introduced to fans a few years back when Lil Wayne announced that Twist had signed to Young Money. However, other than a few mixtape and guest appearances, Lil Twist’s rap career has been virtually non-existent. In fact, these days, it’s clear that Twist is far more ‘famous’ for hanging out with Justin Bieber, and by the time he does decide to put out new music, lots of people are going to scratch their heads and reminds themselves who is it. Unfortunately; however, Bieber and Twist haven’t always been the best influence on each other, and both have had to face several legal issues. In the summer of 2013, Twist was arrested and charged with a DUI while driving Bieber’s car. Just a little more than two years later, Twist was arrested again for allegedly robbing and assaulting actor, Christopher Massey. As a result of the incident, Twist could potentially serve 25 or more year in prison.

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez is definitely a star in her own right, but to millions of Beliebers all over the world, she’s nothing more than Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriend. While she’s definitely worked hard to get where she is, and there’s no doubt that she would have made it without Justin, there’s also no denying the fact that their relationship brought her a considerable amount of fame. But apparently, Justin feels like he’s the only reason anyone really cares about Selena in the first place. According to reports that began circulating early last year, Bieber and Gomez got into a pretty vicious argument via text message, where Bieber allegedly said, “Can’t hear you over my cash, babe! You’re only famous cuz of me. You know it. I know. Everybody knows. Bye…” Although Gomez’ team denied that any suck message was sent, it does sound an awful lot like something Justin Bieber would say.
