The famous model got candid about body image and more after gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit edition. As fans know, Tyra Banks returned to modeling, after previously retiring, for the magazine’s iconic issue.

Of course, this is not the first time she is on the cover!

In fact, she even made history! She appeared on it in 1993 for the first time, but in 1994, she became the very first black woman to get a solo cover!

Furthermore, she took to social media to share some pics from this year’s shoot, for which she wore the same red and pink polka dot bathing suit that she also rocked in 1997!

In the caption, she got real about body image and accepting herself after thinking she needed to lose 30 pounds at first for the shoot.

‘I thought I had to look the same.  Then the ice cream called my name. Yep, all flavors. From Butter Pecan to Matcha to Coffee. I love me some ice cream and I just couldn’t say no to it when I heard it calling. ‘TyTy, Come eat me…’ from my mom’s freezer. So, this is me in @si_swimsuit today. Ice Screaming from mountain tops, ‘Screw cookie cutter beauty!’’

She also addressed everyone who feels guilty about eating some treats from time to time, encouraging them to work out and live healthily while also enjoying the delicious things too.

Tyra also posted another set of pics, comparing her looks 22 years ago to now and explaining that ‘to me, it’s not just about what I’m looking like. It’s about what I’m FEELING like. Back then, I knew I had a plan to do more than model. I knew I wanted to make a difference. I knew I had a calling to do more than for just myself. I just didn’t know HOW I was gonna do it.’
